The clock struck nine
The illusion of a beautiful woman

What madness can this be?
She is calling out to me
My name… my name on her lustful lips
And now my hands pressed on her hips
Oh! Her smile! Her caress!
That croon which must be blessed!

The clock struck ten
The temptations of a temptress

This woman, so beautiful in every way,
With my heart, she does recklessly play
Her eyes so dark, yet brightly glowing
Her hair so soft and gently flowing
Her skin so silky cannot be soiled
But to the touch, is so deathly cold

The clock struck eleven
The prayer without the belief

What this gorgeous being is, I don't bother
Yet hold

She watches each person completely consumed

As the door squeaks open
Her eyes glance to the source
Not at all who she wishes
Her eyes shift back to the floors

For whom is she waiting?
Friend? Lover? G h O s T ?
Or maybe just the person
For whom she longs the most?

CrushI feel as if I'm being crushed by invisible weight
And as if I'm being dragged down by invisible chains.
I made up my mind and have chosen the path I want to take.
I take that path, though I know of all the hurts and all the pains.

Leave me alone.
I want to stay.
I'll be alright.
It'll be Ok.
Because nothing
You could ever say
Could stop me going down that way.

I tag along blindly, knowing where I end up won't be pretty.
Like a puppy follows her beloved master, so I follow you.
I bet that if I ever saw the sight of me, I'd think "What a pity."
Such a pitiful girl; such a cruel master, and it's all true.

To look into his eyes—
Those that scheme your own demise—
Is to relinquish every selfish desire

To go so far
As to blindly light your own funeral pyre

And only relish
In that lavish gift of insanity

To crave his glances,
His graces, his subtle advances
Is to delve into unforgiving vanity

To sigh into his embrace—
Your mind gone away without a trace—
Is to be consumed wholly and completely

To give in and
Suffocate in silence—alone—discretely

And with bated breath
Love the very essence of what is him

To carve out your own heart
Bury it with him—to never be apart
Is to sicken yourself with sweetest sin

To cherish one last kiss—
Is to die—in loathsome bliss

I really like the words to this, but I'm not sure I understand the structure. I read it several times, but it seemed very halting no matter how I read it.
