It was early Monday morning and I sat down in a desk in the middle of the class—which was my appointed seat as chosen by the class—getting ready for the second period of the day: AP pre-calculus. Then he came.
In through the door, strutted the hottest guy I had ever seen—excluding movie stars of course. “You’re in my spot. Move.” I looked up from my desk to see sharp golden green eyes glaring at me. The boy’s soft raven black hair was long and framed his perfect face: high cheek bones, a strong jaw, and thick brushed eyebrows to match. He was gorgeous. Did this guy seriously just talk to me like that? I don’t care how fucking beautiful his eyes are, he’s not gonna make me move like that. He stood above me like it would really intimidate me. He wasn’t going to get what he wanted. Not at all. Spoiled brat.

    The next day (technically, it was just the same day, but a lot later), I woke with a mission. Was that even a dream? If I could find my way back to the second basement and find that glowing glass orb, then it wasn’t a dream. I grabbed my flashlight (well, that was one sign that the whole ordeal never happened: my flashlight was right back where it had been) and decided to relive last night’s adventure… during the day.
    I found Mom sitting in the garden working on some paper she needed for her classes at the local university. “Hey, Mom?” She seemed relieved that I was okay and moving about. “I want to go looking around for the West Wing. Can I have the map?” I was telling the truth.

Ive always been terrified of those ones with missing body parts.
I just have this weird image in my head
that at night they go around stealing real peoples limbs
and try to sew them onto themselves, and when people
come into the shop the next day....
